I'm so sorry I haven't been around....miss y'all so much! I really miss the chats we used to have. How have you been? Sorry I haven't had a chance to read all the posts since I was here last, so haven't caught up on y'all yet. As for the car accident, it happened just shortly after my grandbaby was born. He was only a month or two old, and my daughter inlaw had taken him to see her parents in Peterborough. I believe it was the first/second time she'd taken him away from his daddy. She'd called here to tell my son over the phone that they'd been in an accident (her father was driving)...he turned white as a ghost, and my heart sank...not knowing what had happened yet. He ended up passing me the phone 'cause he just couldn't talk...it was so hard to try and stay strong for him etc....you know me, the big marshmellow, cries at the drop of a hat LOL! Well, I get on the phone, and find out that she's calling right from the accident! My grandbaby is crying in the background, and she's telling me that she doesn't need to take him to the hospital 'cause "he's fine"! I lost it!! I insisted that she get him checked out, and worried the whole time they were gone whether she had taken him or not. My son was beside himself! She'd called right when he was leaving for work, so he was saying that he couldn't just up and leave without giving them notice. I convinced to call work and let them know what happened...I was sure they'd find someone to take his shift etc. I wanted to drive to Peterborough for him, but he wouldn't have it! I think he wanted this time to himself, before he had to be "strong" once he got there etc. But I made him promise that he'd call and let me know he made it there. It turned out that some idiot wasn't watching where he was going and hit my daughter inlaw from behind! Then to make matters worse, while she was turned around, tending to my grandbaby, they got hit again! Someone else had hit the guy that hit her in the first place, and sent him into her again! My daughter inlaw complains of the same symptoms as I do, bu t she moves around just fine and doesn't need to take any meds inorder to function, so I have a hard time believing her...you know the history of how I've felt about her LOL! Anyway, my grandbaby appears to be just fine! Like my daughter, they seem to come out of these accidents unharmed. I believe 'cause they're infants, therefore don't see it coming, and don't tense up trying to protect themselves etc. I don't know what I'd do if he had been hurt? She's having to deal with the damn insurance companies just like I do LOL! I think they'll be much harder on her though, 'cause she's only 20...remember how they kept going on about my age and how I was just trying to get rich quick etc.? The way she lifts and carries him around, runs and plays like there's nothing wrong...she's in for one hell of a fight, trying to prove to them that she is hurt etc. Especially when her CTs and MRIs come back NORMAL! Yes, I still have my website, but like here I haven't been there in quite some time LOL! I was just there, posting an apology for not being there etc. There hasn't been any posts or new members anyway. I should probably just give up on that site ...I don't know!
