I also get a knot in my stomach when anyone mentions suicide, my cousin sadly took his own life about 10 years ago. He was part of the family that I just visited in Australia. It is very difficult and leaves the close family with a lot of pain and anger deep inside. It is sad to go there, 5 of them left us and we visit and theres only 4. I never saw him again after they emigrated. We could never have afforded the flights back then.
It is very nice that you and your wife are there for the two girls, im sure it has helped them, I wish there were more caring people in the world like you.
